Two community meetings in June: EM Hour (11th) and Dev Meeting (23rd)

Recurring meetings calendar reopens after EM 1.5 LTS: EM Hour on the 11th (community happy hour) and Dev Meeting on the 23rd (public coordination). Both on Teams in the browser — no Microsoft account needed; please use your real name when joining.

After the release of EM 1.5 LTS and the relaunch of extendedmatrix.org, the recurring meetings calendar is reopening. Two appointments in June, one for the broader community and one more technical — both public, both on Microsoft Teams in the browser. No Microsoft account is required to join: Teams will simply ask you for a display name on the join page. We ask everyone to use their real name (and an affiliation if relevant) out of basic courtesy — these are small community meetings where it helps to know who’s in the room.

🍻 EM Hour — Wednesday 11 June, 16:00–17:00 CET

The first community happy hour of the new cycle. Casual format: no slides, no recording. On the table:

  • What shipped in EM 1.5 LTS — Landscape mode, CronoFilter, Document Manager, Proxy Box Creator, and s3dgraphy standalone on PyPI.
  • The new site at extendedmatrix.org and the dev tracker for the 1.6 line.
  • The state of StratiGraph (ECCCH project) and where the formal language is heading next.
  • Open floor: bring questions, demos, screen-shares.

🛠️ EM Developer Meeting — Tuesday 23 June, 15:00–16:00 CET

Public coordination for people working on the codebase — EM Tools, s3dgraphy, pyArchInit-EM bridge, the manual, integrations. Notes-first format, modelled on the blender.org module meetings: open by default, decisions visible. Standing agenda:

  1. Announcements & releases since last meeting.
  2. PRs and proposals on the table.
  3. Architectural decisions to discuss.
  4. Open floor.

If you’re thinking about contributing and don’t know where to start, this is the place to ask — bring the kind of work you’d like to do and we’ll match it to what’s open.

See you in June. If you can’t make it live, the EM Hour goes loosely into our YouTube workflow when there’s something worth keeping, and the Dev Meeting decisions are recorded on the event page in plain text — no recording needed for that one to be useful.
